Shopinisrael began as a not for profit site 10 years ago, during the days of the 2^nd intifada, where the nation was bereft of hope. In an effort to lift the spirits and financially support Israeli businesses, the site began as a way to promote a terror-stricken Israel to the world in a positive light. The site brought customers to those who were feeling the pressure of a terrible economic and political situation.

Today, Shopinisrael has been rebranded, with a new look and a new approach. We still wish to promote Israeli businesses, with emphasis on showing Israel to the world as a place to shop, a place to tour, and a place to celebrate special occasions.

The site hosts a range of Israeli small businesses selling many products and services, including artwork, jewelry, guided tours and more.
